Is anyone else religiously reading Jensie’s blog like I am?
This is pure gold….his conversational style allows the reader to imagine themselves sitting across the breakfast table from Jens while he drinks his 3 cups of morning coffee.
I can’t even imagine what my life would be like without bicycles. The feeling of freedom when I’m flying down a hill, the beauty of the wind whipping against my face combined with the familiar ache in my legs…..bikes are such a part of my daily life that I don’t even thing twice about it anymore.
But there is a whole demographic of people who have never experienced riding. They never even thought they could….because how could you possibly ride a bike when you’re blind?
Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Austin, Tx has a fleet of tandem bikes available for their students. All they need is captains to lend some helping legs! This video shows the awesome folks over at Social Cycling ATX on their weekly ride with the kids over at TSBVI. The looks on the student’s faces say it all…bicycles really are amazing.
